I remember when Ryle was learning to communicate we were all over keeping track of what he said, how many words, noises etc. Poor second child. We were at Grayson's 18 month well-baby visit today and the doctor asked me how many words he can say.... I really had to think about that answer! So I started compiling a list. To date here is what Gray can say:
Dog
Juice - means any drink
more
Thank you
eye
Momma
Dadda
Ryle
feet
hat
eat
wait
ball
cheers
fish
blue
me
seat
please
up (he usually means down though)
Oh no
and put away
Animals noises:
elephant
cat
duck
and gorilla
Misc noises:
vroom vroom - car
choo choo..... you guessed it, Train!
I think that is it, I could be wrong. And Ryle... well, what doesn't Ryle say? He is REALLY big on correcting you. Telling you you are and X if you are wrong and making sure he is a check.... And heaven help you if you say a bad word, you will NEVER hear the end of it.
Back to Gray's well baby --- he is currently 32 inches tall (50th percentile), 21.5 pounds (15th percentile) and his head circumference is in the 85th percentile..... but developmentally he is 100 percentile (her words, not mine!). SO he's skinny, short and has a big head. Sounds like someone else we know.

Our Adventure!
The family recently had the opportunity to take a little vacation up the coast to San Francisco. I won't write too much, the pictures speak for themselves! We started early on a Saturday, headed to Santa Barbara for lunch then to Pismo Beach for dinner.
On the Pier in Santa Barbara
A stop at J.Lohr in Paso Robles
Grayson enjoys the car ride
Just outside of our hotel in Monterey. Enjoying a little beach time before having a picnic on the beach.
Daddy and Gray
We do feed the kid, right? You would not have thought so the way he attacked the mac 'n cheese! But he did sleep through lunch in Paso Robles.
Finishing up Daddy's corn.
Ready to start my adventure today!
A stop on the 17 mile drive
He's a camera hog
The Lone Cypress
It's kind of an unassuming sign isn't it?
Ryle enjoying the Monterey Aquaruim
Gray and I clamming it up.
Ready for a day of adventure in SF. Just me and the boys!!!!
Our first cable car of the day
Ready Mom!
Our first street toilet.... it was interesting to say the least.
Pier 39
Making sure Gray can see the sea lions
Happy Anniversary Sea Lions!
Ryle's new best friend Elmo
Ryle and Elmo enjoying an ice cream at Ghiradelli
Ryle's favorite sight in SF..... the Angry Birds sign near the hotel.
Headed home, he's so relaxed.
All in all it was a fabulos trip and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
